Dyeing technique Shibori:

An ancient Japanese manual resist dyeing technique that uses twisting, folding and bunching to create unique and stunning patterns on fabric. Typically, Shibori dyeing is done with indigo dye, however, Sound Sleep Store works with a variety of colours in our unique, premium bed linen range.

The word shibori comes from the Japanese word ‘siboru’ which means twist, squeeze or compress. Due to the variety of ways the fabric can be bunched, squeezed or twisted, each piece of shibori dyed fabric is totally unique and can’t be replicated. What’s even more unique is the mystery that comes with the dyeing process. Unravelling the fabric for the first time will reveal a pattern you’ve never seen before.

We take this ancient technique and paired it with modern, organic fabrics, creating a range of comfortable, unique artistic bedding that will become the focal point of your bedroom.
